Dear Diary,

 

71 degrees on Saturday.

Mostly clear skies.

That's what the app said.

Could be a day to head to the park.

Maybe even a picnic?

Make some sandwiches. Pack the chairs and frisbees.

Get the cooler out of the closet, pick beer from the store.

 

Or maybe take the Duck Creek trail?

A bike ride by the river with the kids.

9.7 miles one way.

And lunch at the grill place

or the Ethiopian joint by the river's edge

 

Pack lots of sunscreen

And the bug-spray

Maybe a jacket? Rain possible at 5, the app said

Whatever.

We'll just wing it.

 

Or how about a barbeque?

Call everyone over. Like a potluck.

BYOB though.

Let the kids play in the backyard

Start early. End late.
